Coronavirus Update: Sick Pay Changes

DLP will continue to update employers about changes during the coronavirus outbreak in the UK.

Changes to sick pay for self-isolating workers

On 4 March, Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that self-isolating workers will be able to claim sick pay from the first day of isolation (rather than day 4).

While this change is only intended to apply during the current outbreak, DLP anticipates unions and organisers will push for the temporary measure to apply to other illnesses and to extend beyond the coronavirus emergency. We will follow this and keep you updated.
